tinder

I tindered.
(Is that correct verbiage.)
I was at work and "everyone was doing it".
So I went to the App Store  and downloaded it.
And hated myself immediately.
Who came up with such a shallow and creepy method of dating?
I mostly just noticed that my finger got "swipe happy".
And I would either swipe yes to about twenty people in a row or no to the same amount.
And then you match with someone and you're left to converse with them.
How do you start that conversation?
"Hey I think you're hot, you think I'm hot....let's hang out."
(And clearly I don't know how to flirt.)
Then you see someone you actually know....do you swipe right or left?
I think I prefer to meet my men in person.
So that I'm not deceived by filtered profile pictures and cheesy pick up lines.
At theeverygirl.com there is a hilarious description of this strange dating app.
Here's a little taste of it:
  • There is no smooth way to start a conversation with a total stranger with whom the only thing you have in common is the belief that you both are not ugly.
  • It’s okay to dislike someone based solely off of the Facebook friend that you have in common.
  • There is always a wrong way to spell a name. Future parents take note: you thought Craig couldn’t be messed up? Think again: I just saw a Kreagg.
  • Guys have apparently not learned that it might be misleading or confusing to highlight pictures of them with their nieces or nephews.
  • If the main photo is of two guys, the actual guy will ALWAYS be the less cute one.
  • NEVER trust a man who can take a better selfie than you. Never.

    1. hahahaha I hope so ;) And basically all I have been doing on Tinder is testing out weird pick up lines on a guy at work that thinks I'm weird ha ( I made him swipe right on my picture.)
